What's the right price on a '93 C4 with 80k? Belts and pump and most everything including brakes recently done, etc. etc. and almost looks new. It might be sold by now because I am hard to get to pull the trigger on anything in life.
Asking because I'm convinced QuickJack portable lift is the thing of the future in my life and I'm not going to be the guy setting up jack stands every weekend for when my mom's van takes a dump on the driveway and needs a fixin'.
In case you don't know about this exciting little beauty https://www.quickjack.com/ also I would love more opinions on it if you're in the know!

I have had my BL 5000XL for two years and I am happy with it. I raise the car off the ground for the winter months. I use it to work on brakes, optispark (helped when I was trying to pound off my damper from underneath the car), exhaust system, etc.
The only down side is that you cannot come in from the sides to work on the car because that is where the QuickJacks are.

Dang you can almost buy a full lift for that money. I paid $1800 for my 4 post.
Hmmm.... Good point. Plus, the 4 posters have lateral stability in case the floor isn't perfectly level (tho I realize leveling has to be corrected as part of the initial set-up!).
I am in the market for a lift/jack as well (getting too old to squeeze under anymore). One nice thing about the Quickjack is it can be pulled out and stored, whereas the lift is there all the time. Important when you have a 2 car garage that can only hold one car...

Exactly!! I have one and it's great for me. Car is stable when lifted and Jack is easily move and stored. My opinion is I'm not running a shop and hopefully only doing occasional maintenance or repairs, so I won't be using it frequently. Therefore I want it out of the way when not in use. YMMV

I purchased a new Kwik-Lift last January. Absolute best investment that I've made for myself in a long time. I don't care if you buy a QuickJack or Kwik-Lift or whatever you choose. Just do it and don't look back. You will thank yourself later.
I purchased one shortly after my first C4. Greatest little invention if you don't have the space for a 4 post lift and/or want to keep the area around the car clear in most instances. They store right under the car and you just drive right over them... can't even be seen unless you're looking under the car. They have really good clearance when in the full lift position and I've never had a problem performing any function on the car. Can't have a corvette without one! IMO

Thought about that too. Not too big a deal to just roll in.

KWIK-lift. QUICK-jack. I sense a pattern in product names for this industry.
Kwik-lift is missing the cool factor. Which is fine if it's a better product but it looks like a pain to move and you still need a jack. https://kwik-lift.com/
I watched a video that plays on their home screen. Meh,
Quickjack has a hokey and information based tips section on their youtube, so at least they're thinking about the customer. This video is, however, more convincing for the product than anything else I've seen:
I just ordered a QuickJack at the Carlisle Corvette show for a discounted $1195, including free shipping. The guy told me the normal price is about $1350, but I think I saw them on the QJ site for about $1295. I'm looking forward to receiving them in a couple weeks. Was told the demand is such that they can't make them fast enough.
That's not terrible I guess, but I think I'd be inclined to spend the extra $1000 and just get a true 4 post lift. There are quite a few under $2500 nowdays.
I just received my QuickJacks and put them to use today. They work great. It took about an hour to assemble them. I wished I had these things 20 years ago!

I have this on the list of things to get when I have some extra money. Of course I'd love to get a traditional 4 post lift, but unfortunately my garage will not accommodate one. I don't have the headroom to justify buying one. My max lift height is about 7 feet total across the whole garage. So a lift like this would be ideal for my uses.
It looks like the BL-3500 is all that's required for our C4 (curb weight 3200). Since I won't use it on anything heavier do I still need the BL-5000? Or are these things under-rated?
Renfieled, for the difference in the extra cost of the B-5000, I'd feel better about being under a car that is on a device rated well above the weight of car on the device. Just a thought.
I went with the B5000, but I was originally going to go with the B3500.
For a little more money I can use the B5000 on my heavier everyday car too. It has worked out great much better than jack stands! I have had them for about 2 years now.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
