Default Fuse block

Hello Everyone,

I own a 1989 Z51 Manual Corvette. My interior lights and cigarette lighter just stopped working. I am looking at the fuse block diagram and trying to figure which fuse if any operates those components.
As I look at the diagram I am reading the numbers on the block and the fuse in the block. The fuse for inj1 has 7.5 printed on the block but the block has a 20 Amp fuse in it. What is up with that.

Thank you
Joe

I checked the FSM and the FUSE BLOCK image is like you mention "scripted" for 7.5A BUT shows a 20A in the circuit. The actual wiring diagram for distribution shows a 20A.

'88 shows 7.5A scripted and in the diagram the same but INJ2 is only 5A.

Pure speculation is that the LT5 expected release in '89 the fuses changed to 20A (Inj1) and 10A (Inj2), '90 & '91 show similar BUT it appears that '89 was the last year that the fuse block had any scripted labeling on it. Newer dash had diagram moved to the cover.

Did replacing CTSY/CLK correct your issues?

I thought I looked at that fuse. But, after I wrote the post I looked up the wiring diagram in my FSM. It shows a 20 amp fuse on inj1 and a 10 amp on inj2. It also says that the 15 amp CTSY/CLK is the only fuse for the lights and lighter. So I will have to look at it again.
Thank you

15 amp CTSY/CLK is your problem. The radio won't work either

I had a lot of fusible links blown 7 out of 11 when I got the car. We replaced it with a marine fuse block under the hood. The fuse that supplies the 15 CRST/CLK was popped from jumping the battery, long story.

Where in the FSM is the interior trim located. I am putting the passenger side under dash trim in the car and cannot figure out what screw goes against the fire wall. I was hoping that the picture would tell me.

Thanks
