Changed out my headlight actuator gear on my 92, while assembling the headlight back to the hood I dropped a 10mm nut in the front of the car and it disappeared and yes I've been looking for it all day, its gone. Does anyone know where I can get it's replacement. I found a dealer that has the 10mm but its different than the original which means I have to paint it black and the spin washer is smaller than the original.
As usual any help would be appreciated.
I had dropped one of the clips for the wire looms when I was changing spark plug wires about a month ago. Drove me nuts. I just finally found it last week when i was cleaning.
I don't really think I have worked on the car unless I have dropped a nut, bolt, or screw into some crevice. I have been lucky to find most, I just don't want a screw left where a tire can find it.
I lost a 10mm socket in the engine bay once. Looked everywhere, couldn't find it.
My solution was to just to quick start off, and sure enough, it slid right out and was on the ground where the car was. If you can't pull it out, shake it out. lol (yeah, I know..."that's what she said"...)
