Recently my 1992 corvette 6sp manual has developed a knocking sound when the the clutch pedal is up while under acceleration. I push the clutch in and the hit the throttle the clunk is absent. The sound is not RPM dependent, but is speed dependent. I was thinking the driveshaft, but there doesn't seem to be excessive play. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. the condition of the clutch and flywheel is unknown . Planning to replace the clutch and flywheel soon.
