I drive mine whenever I can. I am retired so no driving to work. Just for fun and many miles of smiles.

I suppose 'all of the above' is kind of what I had in mind, but I think the biggest thing that drew me to it is my infatuation with the synthwave/80's revival music and culture. 80's styling, digital dash, and glorious V8 sound. Can't get much better than that!

I've wanted a C7 ever since I saw one, but I can't afford one and in a lot of ways I actually like the C4 better. I bought mine with a few goals, some of which I think the C7 wouldn't be able to deliver:

- Refine/increase my manual driving skills
- Learn how to deal with torque in a rear wheel drive setup
- Become intimately familiar with car repairs
- Have as much fun as possible without going broke

Emphasis on that last one... a C7 would mean a huge pile of debt, and I'm not too keen on that. I got away with only paying $5000 for my C4, and after this next round of maintenance and add-ons I'll have put about $2500 into it. Eventually I'd like to push it up to mid 300's HP and maybe swap to a 6-speed if the 4+3 ever dies. If I want more power, then I can always add it later. So many options for these cars.

One of these days I'd like to try some track and auto cross courses. For now I intend for it to be a daily(when weather permits it), cruiser, project car, and all around ball-o-fun.

My intent is to use it as a base to sort of recapture what I once had. I intend to drive it and finish building it to exceed the performance of the '65 I had built. I am going to make it a bit retro by eventually swapping out the digital dash for one of the analog replacement ones (even though they are faux analog, using the existing electrical interfaces to drive the mechanisms).

My intent is to have fun in it, and then when I finish getting older, I am giving it to my youngest and her husband, along with all the other toys I have accumulated (2500HD diesel 4x4, 30 ft travel trailer, diesel tractor, 1991 big block 4x4 pickup) because they are going to come home and take care of my wife and I so we don't ever have to go to a home.

OK. The money part, sure. Doesn't the C7 have a manual? If so why do you think it won't do the manual driving skills, at least for most street conditions or teach you how to deal with torque in a RWD car? Also, being familiar with car repairs, it might not teach you old stuff but it definitely would help you prepare for the better technology stuff.

I would do as my parents do. Outright they declared that they only depend on themselves and we MAY get leftovers, financially, if they are done with it, aka dead. They do NOT depend on us to take care of them. Just themselves and their money they accumulated over their lives.

Bring it on down to Indy one wensday for T andT at the drag strip. I usually go and make a few runs and have met Jonnym (the fellow that post the calender) there and watched him run when I wasn't. Heck of a nice guy. I think he and I are the only c-4s that run. He hit the 13s last time out.. or was it the 12s, cant remember.. I run very low 14s and trying for the 13s. 14:03 is my fastest.

All the C4s posted are very nice. I do have a C5 & C6 and I like them a lot but, there is a reason why I have two C4 Corvettes. I think they are very kool and they don't get the respect they deserve.

My intent is to drive it as much as I can, whether it's to work and back, grocery getting, or kid hauling. Secondly is to try autox. Eventually I'm sure I'll buy something else, maybe a 6 speed c6 and some go-fast goodies.

My intent is simply to have fun and really enjoy the car but not put excessive miles on it. (Have a 4-cyl pickup truck for DD duties/camping/dirt bikes/etc.) Typically I drive the Vette 3-5 times a week (e.g. going out with friends), sometimes a weekend jaunt with the sports car club, and usually 1-2 road trips each summer. I do haul groceries in it, but I don't take it out just for groceries... I will stop by the store on the way home from another outing.

I don't plan on keeping this car forever, only as long as I enjoy owning it. That's another reason to keep it all factory stock, better resale value. Someday I might switch to a sports sedan for practicality (wish they still made the Chevy SS) but for now the pickup and Vette are the perfect duo for my lifestyle.

I intended to use this platform to build a very high hp highway car and as an outlet for my need to tinker. After a little motor modding and a little chassis refurb I switched direction and started running it at the local circuit chasing miatas and s2ks. It turns out where I was in motor mods was great for circuit racing and it's tons of fun. Now I change out the brakes and wheels and it serves double duty, spirited drives on some weekends, fun at the track on others. Right now I have another project on the garage so it sits on the lift but I will have it out again soon.

My 16 year old son uses his 92 for a daily driver. He drives it with the top down day and night, and only puts it up if it rains. That’s him changing the oil and filter in his car.

Originally, I bought it as a track beater. It was cheaper to wreck it and scrap the car than to repair anything on my C6. After a while, I came to realize it was more fun than my C6. After a few years, now it' somewhere in the middle. It' a crap dd because it has no heat or ac and a race setup suspension, but it's getting more comfortable getting cleaned up and such. I drive it to work a few times a week now that it's reliable, I'm intending to get it out on the track and autocross a few times this next summer too.
