It depends on what your intent is for this purchase? Cruising on the weekends, Autocrossing and/or track events, future goldmine (rare collector's car), daily driver (grocery getting), toy to tinker with by adding bling bling or street bolt-on go-fast parts, etc.
So, how do you use you C4?
For me, it's a combination. The car is almost a daily driver in the summer, and for now, at least, I'm having fun fixing things. There's a list of "bling bling or street bolt-on go-fast parts" too. What about you?
Picked this up just over a year ago and she’s been a daily driver. I’ve done the fuel pump, power steering pump, alternator, battery, belt and hoses, shocks, brakes, wheels and tires. Otherwise she’s been good. lol.
my 92 is a retirement gift to myself. Intend to drive locally on back country roads and the occasional trip to Cincy or Indy. This car is a handful, with 725 hp, supercharged 6 speed but really fun to drive. Had to buy racing fuel to mix and sticker shock of $89 for 5 gallons was a surprise. The radio,CD and cassette work perfectly but kind of useless with headers, supercharger and side pipes. Sounds like a Nascar engine and beats any music I can find. Of the 18 Corvettes I've had over the years, this one is the most fun for this old retired State Police Det! Hope you all enjoy your cars like I do mine
Right now lots of work to do and no time to do it. Eventually improving the performance and handling with mostly bolt ons. Looking to end up with a fun driver and some fun auto crossing without breaking the bank.
All Corvettes should be great at everything; "extroverts" in every genre of sports car use, IMO. And I use mine every way that I can.
*DD all summer and some winters too, depending on weather/snow
*Road course/track days
*Auto X where I dual drive it with my wife
*Cars and Coffee
*Road trips -even with the dog.
*"Recreational drives" -fun twisty road romps.
*Drag track/T&T nights with some "club night" comps
It's gets used and it's given me a lot of good times.
I alternate the 89 and the 91ZR1 as daily drivers. My "real" daily driver, a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack sits in storage and comes our once a month for a run around the block.
The Challenger is amazing, but the Vettes are more fun.

Sorry couldn't resist
Does that mean you've come to your senses and no longer drive your "properly winter equipped" vette in the snow?
I look at mine every day and ask myself why did I buy this car. Sure, I always wanted one and on those rare days I drive it I really do enjoy it. My 5 year old Son loves the car. If I don't sell it I need to clean up the interior a bit and put a new radio and speakers in. I will drive it in any season as long as it's not wet out. No rain, snow, salt etc...
rain or shine, pretty much an everyday driver - everything from a Saturday night cruising, to even some light hauling. as long as it's got 4 wheels and a gallon of gas, i'm driving it -
32 years old and 160K miles - this thing will be around long after i'm gone! sure not saving it for the next guy!!!

I didn't DD any of mine, but short of that, yeah! All of the above

I have used my C4's for almost everything too.
I also should add that I like to work on them (mods) too, and have fixed and/or improved them. To me that makes me feel more like they are mine once I have done a few things on them.
I tend towards daily driving and use them for a lot of "normal" trips to the store, restaurants, activities, meeting up with friends, etc. The only limitation I have is I don't like to drive them if the roads have winter salt. Although I had two ('88 A4 and '94 M6) that I daily drove all year in any conditions.
The ones I used the most seem to be the ones I like the best. The more you drive them the more you learn how they will handle different situations and conditions and what the limits of what you can do with them. That is when you really appreciate them. Like Tom said, they are "great at everything".
But the bottom line for my "intent" is to have a car that is fun for me.
I certainly tend to drive my ‘94 when it’s sunny and the roads are dry/clear. Would probably drive it more during winter months if I lived someplace warmer than Michigan.
Sold my first c4, this was going to be my Road America project... Life got in the way, interests changed, now stuck with a "race car" for the road. Might as well enjoy it sometimes.
Mine is a DD, I am on dialysis so I decided I wanted to pull the trigger on my dream car. I know it has its flaws but I drive it for the driving experience. I get on it when I need some fun, listen to the big V8 and smile. Bought it in April with 107k now has 114k, new tires Trans service and oil change, new targa top, runs great. All it needs is new weatherstripping hatch carpet and it's good. I'll drive it anywhere.
