Your lame sarcasm makes me think you are still butt hurt from the last time this topic came up. Is that true ?

You realize that all pump gas already has detergent in it right? That that detergent is there specifically to clean (or keep clean) your injectors? If the car runs fine, makes fine power, and gets fine gas mileage...you're hitting the metrics and that means the car is working right. Keep driving it.
This is the best answer for the OP.

Well, you asked a stupid question, I treated you with the same and due respect. What did you expect?

"Still" implies that it was true at one time. IF you could have proven your point, I wouldn't take it personally. If you can't, which AFAIK, you didn't, why would I be upset?

Whats stupid about wanting to know what you do if your injectors cause a problem before your personal maintenance interval allows.

Here's a hint. If I have 500 miles on my oil and it gets contaminated, should I:

A. Change it now
B. Drive it till the scheduled oil change at 3000 or whatever called for

If nothing else, you'll get a life analysis about things that don't matter.

And the difference between that and getting advice on additives or snake oils you don't need is? Hint: one costs cash.

Does it say to do it that way in the owners manual ?

Stop giving away secrets of the brotherhood of mechanics Tom!

Do you want them to figure out we use gasoline to clean carburetor's and fuel injectors?

Why don't you ask others who mod their cars that dumb question? Surely GM does not condone modifying their car. Go bother them. After all, they weren't following the Almighty GM that almost got itself bankrupt so bad nobody wanted to get involved except the government who was pressured by unions.

Woha relax bro. We are all in this together. I just thought if it was in the owners manual, I would check it out. Since its not, can you just post the details ? I want to get started on this right away.

If there is one thing I hate more than PSYOP games, it is the people that play them. If you are really a 15 year mechanic as you claim, I think you already know that answer. I understand it helps you project an image of really caring and being open minded, yada, yada, yada and many idiots are fooled by it. I'm not one of them. Based on your past, I see a pattern. Based on my past, you already know I would consider the MB directives as a STARTING POINT and the GM manual, not worthy of wiping my ***.

Geez o petes calm down.
I know you don't follow GM service procedures. I thought if you had a better way of dealing with injector issues then you might want to talk about it. The friendly post is not a game. I guess your not ready for that. Have a nice day.

If you listen to many here you change when the DIC says 0, not even 3k.

Only thing in your statement that is incorrect is they DID go bankrupt. But GM did screw tons of supplier companies that put a lot of Americans out of work and did build a plant in China with American Tax payer money.
I mean GM almost paid most of it back.

There were tons of private entities wiling to provide debtor in possession financing; so his claim about that was wrong too.
