No more than 30 seconds at a time and even then I would be hesitant. :nono: Car will go 70 to 140mph in 1/2 mile, so it does pull strong. Just don't know if it is LT5 strong. ;)
With 353 rwhp and 2.73 gears, I whipped a bolt-on 92 ZR-1 from 20 - 150, and was pulling away at 150. It should be interesting, provided Jenn is willing to run the Z that hard and Scorp is willing to risk his new motor to find out! :cheers:

With that much rwhp and rwtq and a good hook, I think Scorp will own the 1/4. I think his hp will carry his lead through the 1/2. At that point the speeds are getting very high! Will Jen be willing to run 150 mph to catch him? Me thinks not!
With the spray and slicks, the 1/4 will be Scorps by a full 0.8!
I'm willing to say VB1 could edge me out on the top end with the LT5 as is.
My car is lighter, makes slightly more HP/torque. Her car has a powercurve from hell, strong #s, more efficient drivetrain, and 7000 RPM to work with. :D A 1/4 probably would end up with ole' yella.... but top end I think I still bow to the king. :yesnod:

With the steroids on the upper end, Scorp by 2 car lengths...of course this is because he has a smaller butt than VB1........No offense intended, you don't have to send the boys with knuckles over to the house.
i've got my money on jen's car...
the higher RPM's makes a huge difference (sorry L98 guys) and jen's average HP is gonna be higher across that wider RPM range...
I'm guessing that scorp's 322/362 is at the flywheel?? what's jen got?
i think i've seen her dyno sheet, and it was pretty impressive.
jen probably has a better rear gear ratio than 3.07...
scorp's gotta be careful with the nitrous til he gets the fuel and tuning straight.
even with a shot i still put $$ on jen.

I have to say that Scorp's car + NOS would surely be faster than my stock car (I should hope).....I just have to annoy someone so I picked him, how lucky. :)

I know for a fact that Scorps car without the nitrous would go down. I raced a good friend of mine with a LT1 383 with 380 RWHP in Jens ZR1 and we were dead even up to 140. The ZR1 powerband is just that ugly. Not a peak or valley to be found from 2000 to 6500. Just flat.
As for the nitrous race.....thats just a silly question. I should hope he would win. At least at the drag strip anyways. Now on the hwy I may have a prayer. Unless I install the little blue bottle myself...... :D :D

He won by a tiny tiny amount (I should hope so with 380rwtq and 4.09 gears!), we are talking feet here...like maybe 3 feet? ;) He's doing a single turbo kit on the car now, engineering it himself (amazing guy), so that was the last time my car could keep up I am sure once it gets done. :lol: We were all shocked that it kept up.

Gee are we fishing for another 383 beats stock ZR1 compliment??
It really wasn't a race, we never lined up dead even. I was behind him on the road and we both hit it from a 10 mph roll. I stayed about 10ft from his bumper until I pulled out into the other lane and let off. Had we actually lined up and raced from a dead stop I would have killed this particular 383 since I am very proficient at launching and he is not. :D :D
