Have an 87 convertible. I am getting a "clicking" (the best word I can think of to describe it) noise under my car when I start off from a stop and slowly accelerate, turn right and accelerate a little or going about 45 MPH in overdrive and accelerate a little. Happens when I hit a bump sometimes and at other random times. It sounds like a metal strip vibrating between two other metal parts. I and others have checked under the car and have not found any lose parts. The exhaust pipe on the passengers side above the "X" support have only about 1/8" clearance and the same goes where the pipe goes over the differential. Have looked at the engine mounts and they seem ok. Would love to have any suggestions. Just cannot find the cause.
