Bloomington Gold Benchmark Certification - ‘89 Callaway
The judges were top notch, courteous and truly enthusiast.
The Callaway received the Benchmark Certification with a gold score of 99.1%. Huge thank you to everyone who works to put the show together.
”Callaway Chris” actually presented the certification, he’s a very cool guy and I’m proud we had a chance hang out.
Rob,
Thank you again for bringing the car, as the judging team really enjoyed it, and working with you the past week at the event.
Your car stands tall on its merits and is one which any Callaway enthusiast would be proud to own. It's an awesome car!!
It was a pleasure to meet you and certainly the highlight of my day to present your award.

I lost a total of 65 points out of I believe 7,500.
I'm going from memory but I think this is the breakdown:
-15 Third Brake light didn't work
-5 Battery
-5 injectors were not original
-5 missing rubber cup in center console
-5 one tiny 1/8" tear in weather stripping on drivers door
-5 center cap locks were replaced with allen head screws
-5 EGR insulation not original
-5 rusty exhaust manifold bolt
-5 two small chips that were touched up
-10 the other two items I can't recall

This is great....judging in the shade. When I judged at BG we were laying in the grass out in a field and it was about 200 degrees outside

He had posted over on the Callaway Owners Forum, and Corvette Forum members SurfnFun & *89x2 let me know.
