Great Photo of the C4.

Too bad they did not use photos of the cars described in the article.

Good to see some positive press for the C4

Very cool!

I agree, it would of been nice to see the cars that they were discribing.

I loved the C4 from the first time my wife and I saw a brand new 1984 at the Washington DC Auto Show. I can still recall my amazement at the aluminum A arms among other at the time incredible features for this spacecraft on wheels. Everything about this car said Future and Technology while still respecting the iconic styling cues. It was all new yet instantly recognizable as a Corvette. A neighbor bought a new 1984 and drove around our cul de sac with the roof off. Dark blue, stunningly beautiful from any angle. I had my first 1987 SA at the time, so we had lots to talk about.
Fast forward many years, kids grown, and I owned my second 1978 SA (this time with 4 speed, still have it), and 82 CE, two tone silver 1984 auto Z51 (oh yeah), red 1988 4+3 and my auto burgundy 1990.
Now in my early 60s I have my 1978 SA and the burgundy 1990, and regrets at selling the 1988 4+3 (and the others too, for that matter).
I love all Corvettes, every year, especially the C7s. But, with no snark intended, I keep thinking of the C4s as the most Adult Corvettes, because of the relatively muted and very clean timeless styling. My Red 1990 always gets beeps, thumbs up, friendly conversations, and really seems to brighten up people whenever they see it. Ditto for the 1978 SA.
I like that people like these cars. And I like driving them, tinkering with them, washing and waxing them, reading about them, writing about them, and being thoroughly obsessed with them. What a great hobby.
Yeah, they're all great. But I especially like the C4s, after all these years they still look to me like spacecraft on wheels.
