Default Wheel Size question

I recently purchased a 1994 corvette that I believe has the stock saw blade style wheels. The previous owner (my brother-n-law) painted them a charcoal grey, which I dislike. Fact is, my brother-n-law didn't care that much for them either, but he said they look way better than the old pitted aluminum.
I found some used wheels for sale that are very good condition, and he is asking $475 for the set. The fronts are 17 x 8 1/2 and the rears are 17 x 9 1/2. (see pictures of the wheels for sale)

My tires are in decent shape, so I don't want to change them. My front tires are 245/45ZR17 95W and the rear tires are 275/40ZR17 98W

I'd like to go buy the rims, but I don't know enough about rims to know if they will fit.

Would any of you guys (or gals) know if these rims would work based on the info provided?

Thanks!

They are the correct sizes for your car.
8.5 front
9.5 rear
The tires you have will fit, however, the proper sizes are 255-45-17 for the front and 285-40-17 for the rear.
Thanks,

Marty

Any chance of refurbishing the ones you already have?

Thanks DRM, very helpful and good to know!

I considered that Silver. But since they had already been painted, I assumed these new wheels would cost less than refurbish. Plus, although they might not be worth much, I figured I could sell the existing set to off set cost

There's a problem I'd say with those wheels. They all appear to be 'right side' mount and there's no way to tell if there's 2 - 8 1/2 & 2 - 9 1/2.

You need the information on the 'back-side' of the wheels. They will be cast left - right - 8 1/2 - 9 1/2.

Are these 'local' so you can check them?

The wheels on your car are correct orientation for the 'left side' - compare the snapshots to your car and the difference I'd think not difficult to grasp.

Not often you see 4 lefts or 4 rights for sale. Did the seller maybe just mix up some snapshots?

WVZR....Yes, its a local person advertising them

Thats a BIG DEAL for me to check. I'll look for the stamping on inside of the wheel

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the "Heads Up"!

Had wheels installed today. Love the new look over the old grey wheels.

I took her for a 3 hour cruise today.

Having a blast with my first Vette!
