My hand brake has been missing its push button since I bought the car. I have manual trans, and regularly use the hand brake. Sometimes it requires more than a little fiddling to get the brake to release. That L shaped piece of metal I have to push on plays hell with my thumb - sometimes.
I was wondering if anyone had come up with a clever, workable replacement for that plastic button I don't have. Just something that works and doesn't come off all the time.
No trick here, but what about just replacing the parking brake lever? I can't imagine it costing too much.
Thanks. You're probably right about what to do. $100-$185 on fleabuy. Cheapest one I saw looked like it was pulled from a river. No NOS or service parts could I find. Naively hoping for something that isn't a project. Being dumb and lazy rarely has advantages.
I beg to differ, ignorance is bliss, and being lazy doesn't mean putting off till tomorrow what you can do today, because, well, you're not gonna do it anyway.
