ok this a question that been ask before by other I am sure a 84 corvette take p255/50vr16 tires will any other tire fit this stock rim and fit ok this car don't do hi speeds and only drove about 1000 miles a year

If you have the 8.5" wheels, the 245/50/16 tires will fit and work fine. The speedometer will be about a mph off. There are a few more choices with that size tire.
If you have Z51, the rear wheels originally were 9.5" which is outside of the manufacturer's recommendations for the 245/50/16 tires. Although not recommended, I have seen it done without apparent problems.
If you change to 17" or larger wheels there are lots of choices.
