It all depends on what skoto paid for the carcass. If he got a good deal on the assembly, he made out ok. If he paid big bucks for a burn, then he didn't. Can't really rag on a guy who is willing to take on a project. I have a friend who is building a windmill in his garage to help pump water. I don't dare tell him an electric motor would be cheaper and more efficient. A hobby can't have a price tag.

Already had it jumped and turning over just need to do the rest. Thanks for the input.
LOL... Hell yeah! Big block any day over sbc, especially stock.

But looking at the pics more, maybe you can get lucky and have this thing work, mostly trouble shooting I suppose.

I always thought hot rods were about having engines you can just throw parts on from anyplace. The LT1 is not that anymore. It's not bad, but for ME it is not ideal.

I think it would be cool to see you use the eagle one spray on the suspension parts and take photos like some other members did here.

I missed the other post....

They would be the early c4's or basket case c4's. lot of them around, usually being sold for parts, because they need so much, but you seem to only want the bones of the car. I doubt you find a '90+ for 1k, but '84-85 project cars and parts cars are out there.

Where are you located?
You might surprised how many people can find stuff or you find something once they know where you are and what you are looking for. That is a nice thing about this community of these guys here.

check this link. if the one for $2,200 is real can you flip it? if not, at least you know the parts are decent.
