Im going to be doing a DeWitts/SPAL fan upgrade...
I think that my be overkill .my entire cooling system is stock, 100% NEW with electric water pump and ecm reprogram. temps never go over 210 and it is just as hot in LA, as in TX .Not sure if electric pump is the best choice but does seem to work well.
Your entire cooling system is NOT stock if you have an electric water pump and the ECM programmed(I am guessing for lower temp fan activation)...
Electric water pumps are a compromise and I personally would never run one on a street car... They produce good low RPM cooling due to the pump RPM being higher than what an engine driven pump would produce(at low RPM's), but the speed of the pump stays the same as engine RPM rises, so at high RPM the flow and thus the cooling ability actually falls off, just at a time when you are working the motor pretty hard and need that extra coolant flow.

right, the pump only works better 99.5 % of the time the engine is running. Many of the high end Euro cars have switched to electric pumps for a reason.
