Paul so you just jack inside of plastic and don't need a slotted 1, I've been using wood inside plastic...

May sound crazy but i had a brand new bicycle inner tube that was still rolled up. I have been using that for a year and a half and it works fine.

There is a Dunhams in Sault Ste Marie and that is where I got mine where I am located. If you need them fast and they were inexpensive.

No, I am in Wisconsin. I had spent quite a bit of time there over the years when I was working. Now retired from the R.R.

Things must be getting pretty bad when you can't find a puck in Michigan. Yikes

I use a low profile H.F. jack too. I've never used ANY pucks and never will. I've yet to figure out why you need a hockey puck. (?)

well as stated I ordered a hockey puck, just to have one, but since I'm changing Oil & filter & a Trans pan service tomorrow--made some 10" ramps out of some old rough cut lumber 2"x8" 5 step's=10" lift.....much nicer just driving up on ramps....

I'll bet those ramps are heavy to move around.

They take up a good bit of space too. I made some similar to that for my C6, back when I had it because it was all...you know....new and "sacred" or something stupid like that and I didn't want to scratch the sacred frame with a jack.

I ended up throwing the things away b/c they were so bulky, heavy and took up too much space.

Are those tapered enough that the air dam and bumper won't hit it?

Yes-they are heavy (not bad tho) BUT since I'm here alone doing any underneath work or Maint on car my intent was to be safe and not be smashed under a car till neighbors smelt the stink.

Yes they are tapered enough, and I couldn't care less about the space-VS-feeling safer under a car doing a oil change, trans pan serv, fuel filter--wich I'll be doing this morning, Hmm I didn't realize it was STUPID to not want to scratch or damage frame if it's easy Not to Damage anything, Have a great day

Yep. It was dumb. That is what I like to call: "Worryin' about chit that ain't worth worryin' about." That is one of many reasons why I don't own that car anymore...and don't miss it.

Now days, I just jack my car where Chevy says to, don't worry about it at all, and I have it on 4 jack stands in about...4 minutes.
