Purchased Another 40th Ruby
Purchased another Ruby. Sight unseen again, so not sure what to expect. My Amsoil came in today to service it. Should be nearly Identical to my current one. It has a blue top, so may need to get a glass targa top. 6 spd with less than 48,000 miles. Has the stock wheels but will pull them and put my Z06 wheels on. Currently on my Ruby are Detroit Wheel ZR 1's. Have the originals too. Will check codes and see any history and hope there are no current codes. Rear facia is a little darker, but auto check showed no accident reports. I take people at their word, so will have to wait and see. Still hope to get my first one up and running soon!

Grats, You can check the RPO codes it may have come with a blue top I believe Blue or Bronze were the only options.

Was delivered today. Need to do a few things. Haven't looked it over too much. Paint has a couple of faded spots. Need to fix console lid, cracked front quarter panel behind fender well where it attached, 2 fob cases and will do some oil testing when it is serviced. Some new car mats. New centercaps for the wheels, may put my extra Z06 wheels on. Check the injectors. I have some bosch 4's I could put in or get a rebuilt set of bosch 3's from FIC.
A good wax job and buffing may make the paint look a lot better and bring out the luster of the ruby red color.
Will check it out more tomorrow and ck codes.
Engine sounded ok.

These cars seem to be desirable above most others. Aside from their intrinsic beauty is there some quality or attribute that makes them so appealing?

Purchased my first one because I had retired from the military, USAF/MI ANG with 39 years10 Months and 5 days. Close to 40 years.

I just purchased one because I loved the look, color and that it was a convertible with a hardtop. Add to that the fact it was priced very reasonably.

congrats, god luck. I assume you know the history. The color difference of the rear bumper cover could be saying something, and the nose color and lines too.
I'd get it professionally detailed and see what is there.

Seats are very good, with very little wear on drivers side bolster. Someone laid something hot on rear carpet and melted a portion of it. Heat has also caused digital instrument cluster to fade. Rear Boise insignia on rear speaker missing. Rear hydraulic cylinders of hatch a little weak, they hold window up ok, but only lifts window part way without further help. Need to clean and reset parking brake handle, feels like the grease is gummed up. Frame of console lid is broke, ordered new one plus a bypass for CAGS. Haven't tried the cd or cassette in the radio yet. Goodyear tires @ 90 %.
