I am getting some strange occurances recently.About 2 weeks ago at about 130mph a check gauges light came on, when speed decreased to under 100mph it went off. Then 2 days ago at 110mph the asr and abs light came on, after restart they of course went off. I must add that both times I was going up a fairly steep grade. Yes the brake fluid was checked after the later occurance.
At the higher speed, my guess is that your O2 sensor had a moment as once "slowed" down and with the engine back to "normal" rpms, the air fuel ratio was something the computer was familiar with.
On your brakes, I'd say that the incline of the grade had the fluid sloshing and your sensor misread the fluid level.
In either case, I'd recommend you spend no time worrying. You were pushing your car hard and all systems returned to normal once your driving did.

I was gonna say to check the brake fluid. But you already did that. I experienced something almost exact as you. Doing research on here said to check brake fluid. It looked fine to me. I added the slightest amount, and wasn't getting it anymore.
Check gauges isn't the same as "Check Engine". There isn't likely to be a code set, or any O2 related issues with a "Check Gauges" prompt. That warning literally means that you should....CHECK YOUR GAUGES. It come on when:
Fuel is low/Reserve
engine temp is too high
oil pressure is too low
Volts are out of range....
ABS/TC light should have set a code in one of the modules...can't remember which one. But you could confirm or deny the brake fluid level concern by checking those codes.
When the check gauges light went on all the gauges were going back and forth, these were the analog.
Im not worried just curious and everything returned to normal. Bty no codes except my normal ones referring to the a/c which is removed.
Back when I had my '92, the Service ABS and ASR light would come on during hard braking and sometime some hard turns. I wound up filling the brake fluid reservoir up to where the seam between the reservoir body and the top met. That stopped that light from coming. IIRC, the embossed "Full" line was about 1/4" below where I filled up with fluid.
