Sound deadening cargo area without pulling pad ??
I see Blockit as an option. Has anyone done something different that does not
require pulling the glued carpet pad up ??
Thanks in advance !!

We just bought this:

It is under the pad my wife made us out of the anti-fatigue mats from Harbor Freight with fabric glued over the top.

we have only had the car out once since we bought it. my wife said she thought it was quieter. we made a pad out of the 1/2 in thick anti-fatigue mats:
these

duct taped them together and cut out according to a pattern we made. My wife bought some material, we had some spray glue left over from redoing the roof liner, and along with the above mat, we knocked down the noise for a fraction of the cost. Do the math, you can make your own.
Yes those are doggy feet patterns. Since my wife works OT every once in a while to pay for parts, I let her do her thing when she wants to. Both mats are a tight fit.

Make the seams in the middle. There will be throw away from the edges, but it will turn out much nicer. Plus they were only 10 bucks or so. I believe she did some gluing on the edges, besides duct tape to help hold it together. The duct tape is underneath so that it doesn't show through the fabric.
