There is only one coil on a C4.
What your calling coil covers (since you mention the right one), are fuel rail covers. They do not have coils under there like a C5 and later.
my belief is that if the rain was strong and deep enough to ****** off that coil cover, it would have stalled the car by shorting it for a while. You would have noticed it,
the coil is mounted on the front of the passenger side cylinder head and there is no cover, just a heat small heat sink that is made on it. if it fell off your car would not run. there is zero possibility of rain knocking your fuel rail cover off either hood open or shut
Makes sense to me. My fuel rail covers wash off all the time, sometimes even in just a light rain. Luckily, there isn’t room for them to actually get out of the engine bay so they usually turn up somewhere. Check your coolant overflow tank, I found mine in there once.
fuel rail covers, got it . just gone ,haven't got a clue . new fish to fry--loose steering wheel , just the wheel , so I'm taking it apart first after air bag and wheel come off theirs a 1 1/2" drywall screw in plastic tube were horn wire goes it was kind of cramped in there . so moving on down the lock plate were the butten comes up in slot to lock from key don't move , and horns don't work and auto lock and unlock don't work , are these things tied together ? and cut me some slack its my 1st corvette and I've been driving the same Chevy van for 30 years . all this automatic stuff is new
