Default Radiator Hose Replacements LT1

Getting frustrated here with this hose replacement session.

The particular issue is the upper hose to Tee and Tee to engine. I pulled the 3 hoses and Tee off.

I see the factory hoses are discontinued. I ordered online and received the hoses. These are the same part numbers from seems like most of the sites for ACDelco. The radiator to Tee seems long and the bend onto the radiator seems to bottom out not to mention it seems way to small for the radiator. The ID of the hose is 1.25" but I'm measuring about 1-3/8". The engine to Tee is S shaped and places like Gates says cut to fit. There isn't any way to hold this in to get it in a cut to fit way.

What am I missing here?

Please post your model year. The hoses change from year to year. It took me a couple attempts to get the correct hoses for my 92.

You have to measure your new hoses against the old one and cut it to fit before installing it on the car. I personally do not like the cut to fit hoses. Why not just make a direct replacement hose? Makes so much more sense to me.

At least they can be made to fit. There's one hose on my Fiero made by 4 different manufacturers. Only 1 of the 4 are long enough to fit, the rest are too short. They have the right bends in the right places, just too short on one end. It really SUCKS

^^^^ That honestly would be terrible. Not being able to find simple replacement parts that fit is frustrating. Story of my life on my 10th Anniversary Turbo RX-7 that I'm restoring. Upper radiator hose, cut to fit. First one was too short and the second one was on the verge. Both made by Dayco and both carried the same part number.

When I did the hoses on my 92 I ran into the same problem finding the hoses. The one I ordered could not be cut to fit. Nor could one from Autozone. But Advance Auto had the right ones made by Dayco. One was cut to fit the other was the correct length.

where did you end up purchasing the hoses? I also have a 92 LT1 and have not found anything that will work.
