I am in Charlotte, about 12 miles from Grand Ledge. It is pretty darn cold and snow for a test drive at the moment. Retired so do have some time. 2nd or third opinion??? What year was it? I have two 1993 Ruby's. Could pull codes if that is ok with seller.

Its a wet sloppy mess here.
Ill be around the Grand Ledge - Lansing area for a few more days. As things stand right now, the roads should be good enough for a proper road test tomorrow, as long as the seller doesn't care, which he/she might, since its still pretty wet. However you want to proceed is fine with me. I can call the guy directly and explain that I intend to inspect the car on behalf of you, and set up a time to do so, or you can call him, or whatever is fine with me.

If I was the owner I wouldnt allow a test drive until May. The roads are to salty. If you can't tell by looking at it and listening to it in the driveway, you probably don't know cars.

I agree about not test driving if the roads aren’t clean, but I also would never buy without a test drive. No matter how good a car looks or sounds while sitting still, there’s plenty that you simply can’t tell without driving it.
