I have had my '92 visors recovered and am now trying to get the mirrors back in. There are 2 rubber posts on the back of the mirror housing, but trying to get them back into the holes in the hardboard is driving me nuts. (They were not easy to pry out either). I've already cracked one of the mirrors trying to push the assembly back into place. And yes, I did have some light lubricant on the rubber pars. Anyone have any tips or tricks to get this accomplished? Would removing the posts and using velcro be a better option?
