Default Would you rather???

I see several saying in other threads they do not mod their C4 for several different reasons.

I'm curious now. Lets say you get $20k towards car fund money.

Would you rather?
-Mod your C4 (what mods)
-Keep and buy newer
-Sell and buy newer

First I would restore both C4s to OEM condition, and work any mods from there.

Did you mean to say "buy"?

If I could sell it for something reasonable, sure. Probably will have to take a bath on it so that isn't going to work.

Keep my C4 the way it is and take the 20 grand and build a shop to park it in, so my wife could park her car in the garage.

I think the intent of your question is if it's a fiscal limit that makes you drive a c4. For me the answer is no. I just like the car.

If I had another 20k, I'd probably just pay off my 2012, and buy an STI for a daily. Or replace my colorado with a new ram laramie. Or put it against my house.

Of those 3, it's a tough call. I'd be selling the C4 at a loss no matter what at this point, but I also don't want to pump too much more cash into it either. I'd probably use the cash to finish up the remaining wear item replacements, or sell it and put that money towards a C6 GS.

if i had 20 k to blow on my new project 91 i would probably do an LS swap out first then find a place who could do custom fiberglass work and re-work the rear half of that thing so it looked totally bad *** instead of the camaro look. those rear wheel wells are in desperate need of something, all i can think of is wheel well flares and ground effects put some sort of really nice looking rear deck lid spoiler on it, make the interior totally custom and really nice and then finish it off with some really sharp rims and tires, all upgraded suspension and last but not least a killer stereo system, that would chew up most or all of it i am sure, might need another loan to finish it lol

anyone got the phone number for the pimp my ride show???

I think for 20K. I think i would have fun modding my C4. I enjoy modding and working on cars as a hobby just buying a newer corvette wouldn't be as much fun as the journey of doing an LS swap on a c4 for example.

Nice ideas, and seriously some show out there might fix it up for content or a desperate growing youtuber.
I see the rest don't really want to play. You get car money or no money you cheapskates! You all already own c4's you re saving money left and right!

I'm pretty darn happy with my c4 car. I don't track it, and I've grown out of the street racing scene. So performance modifications are not important to me. I am interested in reliability and proper functionality. I wouldn't mind rebuilding the opti distributor with new parts. I wouldn't mind replacing every u joint. Id like to have a DeWitt's dual core radiator. I would like to install sound insulation throughout the interior. Somewhere around here on this forum I've heard about a master cylinder modification to change the brake bias more toward the rears. The car needs that. I would also replace the headlights with something brighter. I like the Zr1 wheels, so maybe id buy those too.

I would finish redoing the inside of mine, maybe a 181 or 400 short block, some different wheels and tires...music better (brighter) headlights. The rest goes for beer\
