Tried that bit in a 70 Z/28 back when the CHP used 5.0 stangs. Helicopters help a lot. lol
Not sure where one can even get TO the speed limit in SoCal these days, its so congested anymore unless you live somewhere real rural.
Never speed, no tickets. Some cars seem invisible though, my truck is one; when I used to have vettes youd really had to have restraint it seems you stand out like a sore thumb and people expect you to speed.

if you speed in the vette you arent as much a d1ck as if you speed in the truck or a malibu sedan.
ive found some drivers ‘angry’ I didnt get on it harder, squeal the tires, etc.
probably the exception vs the norm but ive got that comment.
was in hocking hills southeast ohio roads and a truck in front of me kept squealing his tires at every stop sign.
finally, the hillbilly got out and said i was hoping you’d get the hint and make me some smoke !
