I have a 94 base model corvette with 109k and the upper rubber piece is missing, it’s the one that wraps around the spring, the bottom piece is still there, the car really sags in the front, do you guys recommend replacing the leaf spring doesn’t look like you can purchase just the rubber because it is part of the leaf spring, car also has a thumping sound when hitting a bump. Thanks for any replies
I don't have one in front of me to see what that pad looks like. However, you could probably find some hard rubber sheet and make a new one. I know VBP use a windshield bonding agent to secure the urethane pads to their aftermarket springs, and I had success with that on my rear spring as well. So it could be attached that way. If your spring itself is actually still in good shape, this could save you money.
Should be here next Thursday will post what I find out
I would have thought a buy closer to you for a 'hands on' before paying would have been a better choice and I'd think there's a 'FEW' available. Does the one you bought have the correct fabrication on the ends of the leaf to the control arm?
got the replacement spring this week from a ebay purchase, pulled my old spring out and compared them. Looks like someone had done some modifying to the original not much of a arch to it. Main thing about removal is getting the car up pretty high, will post when I get it back togetther
