I got my car about a month ago. I knew the sound system was one of the first things I'd want to upgrade. Honestly, I'm blown away how good my bose sounds.

Before I tore mine apart, I went with 4 speakers in the front and two in the back, plus subs. I used the doors and the dash mounts. I have to say, even though the dash mounts are tiny they sound amazing bouncing off the windshield, I was really impressed, maybe mount your tweeets up there
not sure if I should mount the tweeters in with the fronts in the kick panel, or try to get them up higher
I upgraded to a Pioneer Avic 5201 and ran 2 powered 8" Bazoka Subs in the Vert. Next week I'm putting in a set of Infinity Kappa 50.11cs in the kick panels. I'm also putting a set of the matching Tweeters in the A arm pillars.

Unless you can angle the tweeters up and out they would be wasted down there. I would go up on the top of the door panels or better yet pod mounts at the base of the A pillars.
