I'm awaiting a reply from Block It on this question, but thought I'd also ask members who have it: What happens to the sound deadening quality of the Block It material if one uses a Weathertech rubber cargo mat on top of / over it? Is the sound absorption the same, or is it not suggested to place a cargo mat over the Block It special foam material???
I have noticed very little reduction in exhaust sound. I imediately noticed a reduction in tire, wind, and other road sounds. You may experience something different.
I have been slowly working on reducing all noises by adding stuff like this including door insulation. It's working. I had the windows tinted for the heat but swear I noticed sound reduction too.
I really need to do a before and after measurement. I have a decible meter on my phone that seems to be good.
