Hello.... this would be only my second post on this site.... I currently own a 96 CE convertible, I have owned a 93, 97 and a 99 before though.... I only purchased this car because it was a good deal and it got me out of my camaro SS that i was growing tired of. I am planning on putting it up for sale pretty soon here becuase i really want a 6-spd and i dont care for convertibles.... its got 47k, LTPWS, and the performance axle...... what do you think it might be worth ????
I have had 4 Vettes... but I am only 21 so im still kind of a rookie when it comes to all of this....
I appreciate any advise.. Thanks
How many owners, condition of interior, exterior, wheels, tires, etc? Accidents? Anything that needs to be fixed or replaced? Aftermarket performance parts? Properly maintained? Knowing things like that could help determine a good price to ask. Also, it greatly depends on what the Corvette market is like in Iowa.
well.... just a quick run down.... the market here is all right.. but more than likely i will take it to chicago.... I am the second owner, factory wheels are in great shape... tires (eagle EMT's) have about 5k on them...interior is in great shape (no holes, tears, and very minimal wear)... the only thing that needs to be fixed is the power drivers seat but thats going in for service tomorrow... It's been properly maintainted (I've always treated my Vettes better than any woman) ... I havent done anything to it (i new i wasnt going to keep it long, so its all stock)... I also plan to hold out until march or april when the season is right.... there are a few rock chips on the hood, and 2 minor scratches that you have to be right on top of to see... there are 2 marks from where someone opened their door into the body molding but I am going to have that replaced, unless it can be touched up perfectly....
Thanks.... and just so you know... I agree ... I am lucky.... but i bust my butt too... I have paid for it all.... mommy and daddy dont help me a bit and havent for quite a long time (people who see me just assume that its my dads car or something).... I started with an 89 ford probe that i worked a paper route to pay for (it was an ugly piece of junk)... and I just kept selling (usually making a profit) and I kept upgrading.... Now I go to school full time and work full time to... so my Cars are my escape from my hectic little world.... Thanks again....
Just paid $17.5K for a '96 CE coupe LT4, 80K miles with a 3 year 37K mile warranty. I think it was a screamin' deal, don't sell your vert for any less unless it's got some problems...
Jeff
Unless I missed it somewhere, you did not mention whether or not the car is an LT-1 or the optional LT-4. That would make a difference in the selling price.
