If you have to replace the whole thing:
Jack up the back driver's side
Remove tire
Remove fenderwell lining
Remove antenna

Also, remove the speaker in the rear hatch on the driver side. That is where you will need to disconnect the antenna wire.

I'm 5'8" with average length arms and this is how I did mine. I couldn't reach the top bezel from laying underneath the car, and I have no mufflers, so on the advice of others I removed the rear wheel and the fender well. I could barely reach the top bezel to unscrew it that way, but managed to work it loose. Others said to tie a string to the wiring harness in the rear hatch so when you pull it through it would make it easy to just pull back through upon reinstallation. I understand the principle, but in the middle of my wires above fender well is a rubber opening which is too small for the harness to come through and I could barely reach it with my hand so I wasn't about to remove it never being able to replace it. I chose to cut the 3 wires running to the antenna motor. There are 2 tiny screws holding the radio to antenna cable on and during reinstallation make sure you put this on before you mount your antenna to save a lot of choice words trying to start the screws. The final wire connected to the motor is a ground wire with one bolt in a easy location right in front of you. If you are going to replace the motor then disregard this, but if you are going to keep your old one when you take the motor apart to replace the mast make sure you get out all the old broken mast peices. If you choose to splice the wires like I did then make sure you put them back together with extra reinforcement to avoid a loose wire 2 days after everthing is put back on. Overall, not a difficult job, but would have been 100 times easier with arms about 3 inches longer. Good luck.
