Just purchased my first C4 Vette. Love this car so far.
However, when I purchased it there was an issue with the headlight motors clicking when they went up and down. After reading through a number of threads, I realized this was the bushing in the motor.
Went ahead and rebuilt one of the motors and added new bushings. After putting the headlight assembly back in the vehicle something strange began to happen. When I turn the lights on, one goes up and the other goes down causing me to have to manually adjust them every time I use or turn off the lights.
Any idea what could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
One of the motors is mounted 180 deg. out from where it is supposed to be. The motors can be mounted Two ways. figure out which one it is and remove the two screws that hold it to the gearbox and just turn it 180 deg. and put the screws back in. There should be a flat spot on the gearbox Where the wires go into the motor.
