Found wires while replacing shifting boot. 93 Ruby.
Got cover off to replace boot that had been cut at seam when the neighbor took out engine and tranmission a few years ago. Guess he didn't know how to remove shifter **** on 6 spd. After getting cover off everything is sticky and very dirty.
In the process I found a connector with 3 small wires that have been cut off. Don't know what they go to? Maybe an alarm system?
I still need to remove the set screw for the reverse ring, but my eyesight is bad and can't tell if that is a allen head?? Dont know where I stored the new boot which I bought 4 years ago! It is ruby one to match the seats. It is with the new carpet speaker covers. Just getting to old!!!

On page 124 & 125 of my owners' manual under Accessory Wiring Plug, the plug has 3 separate wires, orange connects to the battery pink to the ignition in the run position and black to ground. Looks like someone cut the connector off.

There was never a connector on these three wires. The wires were originally covered by a folded-in-half, 2" or so, length of black duct tape. After 25 years, the adhesive gives out and the tape will have fallen off into the recesses of your Corvette. I just finished up doing a ridiculous amount of interior work on my '96, and I also found theses same three accessory wires in my car.
Update. Found the info on the wires in the owners manual. Learn something new all the time. Thanks.
Found my new boot along with rear hatch extension, carpet covers for the speakers.
Used some leather care on new boot that really soaked in. Much softer.
Will need to clean the rest of the console before reasembly. Getting that set screw out may be dificult. I can't really see it, but assume it is a small allen head. Hopefully won't have to drill it out for a larger one!!
