Default Red wheels....

I've been on some C4 groups on FB (mainly to find parts) and someone posted a picture of red w/ some silver wheel(someone called them "intense"), then someone posted a picture of all red wheels. Other than CF, I'm convinced there is something in the water or they're smoking some good $h!t...LOL

Regardless of color, style, etc - Im not a fan of aftermarket wheels. I like factory wheels / factory colors. What I really hate is when guys cross-generation wheels - meaning C5 wheels on a C4 or C7 wheels on a C6...it just looks out of place...but to each their own!!

I'm in no rush, but finding 9.5" A-molds(CE wheels) is becoming a quite the chore....maybe I'll find some over the winter. I've seen them on ebay(reproduction), but I wonder about the quality vs stock wheels

Sure. But if you needed one (1), might be worth it.

I have to disagree with this one. Personally I believe if the wheels complement the car then it doesn't matter what generation car they were designed for as long as they fit properly. I've seen many different car/rim combinations including aftermarket and some work and others don't. You could argue that those that put black rims on black cars are just as guilty and using other than oem rims. IMO if the owner is happy with the combination, more power to them unless they turn it into a batmobile.

I bought this 95 back in April with the wheels painted red. I have been looking to replace them but they are starting to grow on me.

Guess I'm not a purist. It is all in what you like. I personally think these wheels look a lot better on my 35th than the chipped up and faded stock white wheels.

Same here. I've been tossing around what to do with my rims due to the discoloration, oxidation and other problems. Was looking around at a new set of rims and pricing.
Drove by Wheel Fix-It here in town and got a quote of $580 to refurbish my stock rims. That includes dismount/mount, balance and new stems. Complete price.

I believe I know the route I'm takin' now.

Yes...It makes sense to me that the red color should only be a highlight, not the main color, and showing more of the silver or black.

I have bought wheels from OE before and the quality was very good. Only issue I have with them is the A molds are Fugazi. They used to make them like the factory did but for whatever reason they changed the molds and are now totally different. They are squared off A molds and who the hell knows why they make the lip on the outer edge deep Vs. the factory wheels where the center is deep. Factory A molds fit the C4 perfectly, they were by far the best wheel of the generation. The OE option is OK, but no where near as good.

That's what I'm looking for, the OEM A molds in a 9.5" so I can square off my setup.... turning out to be difficult task, but I have to at least next spring to find them. So far $311 per wheel (too much), hell you can get a set of OE wheels for $500+, but the search continues....
