Hi everyone, I’m a novice at this tuning, but if I can ask a question. I just had my 350 replaced to a 383. Do I need a new chip in the emc? The car starts but runs very rough in idle and dies when I put it in drive. I’ve heard I may need a new chip in the computer to run the 383. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. You've dramatically cha ged the engine.

Check out dynamicefi. You can be self sufficient. If you go a different route at least you have the newer computer so there are tuners out there. TPIS did my 85 and did a good job but it did take a while.

Yes you will need a new tune. What injectors did you put in? If it is stock, talk to the tuner and see what he thinks of your setup. At this point, I would definitely go with dyno tuning or tuning via data logs.
