Default 1990 Convertible Hardtop Help

I just purchased my C4Vert 2 weeks ago and have purchased an OEM hardtop, which arrived at my buddies paint shop on Friday. I just order the brackets for the B pillars from Corvette Central - my question is are there any other mounting parts that I need? The top has bolts that extend for the rear deck, I'm guessing that all I need is the correct nuts to snug it up, but there is nothing to attach the top above the windshield. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pictures in a couple of weeks when top is installed....Also, where might I find the connectors for the rear window defogger?

Have you looked at the access holes in front of each visor to see if the bolts/screws aren't already in the openings?

Just did and yes they are - thanks for the quick help - my top is at the paint shop, so I had my buddy send me pics.

If the brackets didn't come with the required 10 bolts, you ill need to visit a hardware store to get them. The factory bolts were a Torx bolt design and you will need a small ratchet and a Torx T-40 socket

For power for the defogger in the hardtop, the power lead will be near the passenger side shoulder harness tower. IIIRC, the wire is either orange or red. You wil have to fabricate a ground wire; One end of the wire can be attached to the driver's side shoulder belt tower and the hardtop side just needs the proper connector for the one that is on the hardtop (or cut that connector off and get a suitable connector for the new wire.

For the hardtop, the soft top latches on the deck lid have threaded holes for those bolts. A small ratcheting box-end 5/16 wrench works well for these bolts.

I have copies of the OEM install instructions. Let me know if you want them and I can send them to you. Just found them here:

Thanks for the reply - would you happen to know the nut size for the rear bolts? I am kinda baffled by the number of metric bolts on a US vehicle.

Ooops - forgot to mention - I did order and receive a brand new owners manual, but the convertible top info was a separate piece that did not come with the vehicle. If you could email that to me it would be greatly appreciated. 2overpar@comcast.net .

Thanks again....
