Default Map sensor

1989 corvette in need of new map sensor. Does anybody know the part number I need? I have heard there is a new sensor so I want to make sure I get the right one. Thank you

Wasn't it 90-91 that had the SD system? Is it possible that he got a late 89 that had 90 circuitry? Not sure but that is my only theory.

That's what I thought. I've never seen an 89 with a MAP from factory.

I believe the MAP started with the LT1.

From my observation 1990 was the first MAP TPI not counting the 84 I personally prefer the MAP and wish an 89 6 speed had one. Would like to convert mine to MAP. I know it's been done but haven't hat the time to research it....

My 91 L98 has MAP. Replaced it after getting an engine light and scan pointed to it. As already pointed to, it does appear it wasn't used until 90 model year.
