Well had the times to check the temperature, inlet outlet upper 200's ..cat..160's... It bad . Anybody know if I can sell the old one? Junk Yard?.. and if I delete it.. ecu issues?..
I have 05 C6, and started getting check engine light, and the right cat was the bad cat, and had both replaced, asked the muffler shop about the good cat, and said it's junk!
Catalytic converters contain platinum and palladium, along with some other rare metals. That is where their value is. But you may find it difficult to sell a single cat. Muffler shops well them in bulk to a recycler that extract the precious metals. At one time we had a local scrap metal place that would give you around $5 for one. But by the time you went there you had waited that in time and gas.
