Default So, heres a dumb question...

Let's say you deleted your spare tire and carrier. Let's say you get a tire leak/flat that "Fix A Flat" won't work on, and you have AAA. What can the AAA driver do to fix or temporarily fix your flat? Will they attempt to "plug" it? Will they bring a temporary replacement tire and rim to bolt on just to get you to a tire shop? Or will none of that happen and they'll just flatbed tow your sorry *** to the shop???

From experience, expect to have your *** towed on a flatbed to a shop in any vette.

Either to a shop or to your house.

yes you will be towed to the location of your choice. If mileage is over your stated amount you can expect a bill.

I will check them out.

I have C5 wheels and brakes, I don't even know if my original spare will mount...
For the rear, I also worry that I would fry the f out of my limited slip with the 18's on the back..

Amazon Amazon
I picked this up over Christmas
In my Truck, I had a screw in my tire... A while back I removed the screw, put some black RTV, and put the screw back in the tire...
I figured, meh I'll get it patched next week.

Months go by...

Yesterday, I figured wth.
Lets try out this fancy patch kit!

I have to say, I'm happy.
Not too hard, and it's holding pressure at least as good as the RTV + Screw did.
The patch kit + a 12v pump went into my car today.

My new "spare tire"!

And I saw this yesterday: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-1996-C...97.m4902.l9144
I thought about it for a sec...

Later I'll see about getting the delete brace, but I don't want to spend over $400 for one...
Most likely I'll build it once I learn to weld, or I'll cut the pieces and have it welded up for me.

And your trip is messed up and you are riding home in a flat bed or going to a service facility where they probably won't have a tire in your size? All that waiting for that? Plan B is you have a means to keep going on after you fix it on the roadside. Granted both are inconveniences, I wonder which is less inconvenient?

It is amazing the holding power of black RTV Silicone.

Great, please point the CE wheel opportunities to me.

Thanks.

There was a guy on here that had a set, although the fronts were black. The rear were in mint condition and I think he wanted $500 + shipping, too nice for my car (not a show car), but if your car is mint I would consider these. I just realized I had 2 9.5" and I needed another pair, but IIRC you need all four.

Check the FS section, someone had a set and they were prepped for paint.

These were on a C4 vette buy, sell, trade group on FB

FS: C4 ZR-1 factory A-mold wheelset.

(2) 17" X 11" 36mm offset rears

(2) 17" x 9.5" 54mm offset fronts

These are factory GM rims. The rears will need to be restored ( cleaned/painted approx cost $200 ea). The fronts are in VERY good condition and are good as is.

Most original sets go for $1500+. I'm selling for less because of the needed paint restoration on the rears.

$800.

I will NOT split the set up so please do not ask. I may have center caps and lug covers as well.

I will post more pictures on 2/21.

Shipping: I have proper shipping box's. I’m happy to ship for an additional $100. Wheels will ship after I get back into town on 2/20.
