Well my weatherstripping kit and headlight repair bushings arrived. Looks like several days of work ahead! This will be a major step in getting my recent purchase up to par.
I did headlamp bushings for the 20th time over the years over multiple C4's this last weekend. Tip, spray the pin you punch out of the headlamp assembly with some WD40 the night before. Do one headlamp at a time so you can refer to the other when you forget how it goes back together. Get a large tube of lithium grease, be prepared for the old bushing to be dust and to fall out EVERYWHERE when you get to that point so don't do this job on your living room carpet. The job is simple, and can be done in 45 minutes per side or less after you have done a few and have a couple of non-standard tools but for your first time, watch a few videos as there are several ways to do the same job, some are crazy over complicated, some are lazy short cuts that you don't want to do. A flexible 1/4 inch 8 inch long extension that will accept different size torx bits is a great investment for the torx between the motor and mechanism. BTW do NOT take the bolts out of the motor top housing. you can loosen them enough to wiggle it to seat and unseat the rotating gears and bushings but if you pull it up and expose the brushes, be prepared for a long day,.
