Hey all , new to the forum and new to owning a C4 Corvette (1993). I am having a problem with the RH CSTY fuse blowing, I've tried unplugging the cigarette lighter as there was some corrosion inside but no luck. I don't know what else this fuse powers but I think it's causing the Sys light to flash on the dash. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you.

RH CSTY controls: Dome Lamp relay, Courtesy Footwell lamps, Door Courtesy Lamps, Glove Compartment Lamps, Lighted Rear View Mirror.
I doubt it is the fuse causing this issue. It may be a charging issue. Check the battery connections (clean and tighten)
There are a good number of threads here in the forum dealing with the SYS light. Sometimes a google search (1993 Corvette Sys Light) gives you a more targeted list of posts instead of searching the forum directly.
Hope this helps.

Ahh thank you for the list of what the RH CSTY fuse powers cause now I'm almost sure it's the Dome lamp relay causing the fuse to blow the dome lights stay on all the time. Thank you so much.
My 92 had a Sys light when I bought it. Figured it was the problem caused when after market radios were installed. Turned out that it was the battery terminals. Haven;'t seen it in two years once I cleaned and tightened them.
a lot of the lamps burn too hot or shielding wasn't installed when taken out and put back in. Around most lighting, footwells, doors, halo, you will find burns in the housing, maybe one is shorted- although you mentioned one not cutting off, that is where I would go first. I am looking for install LED bulbs where I can on my current project for the lower temperatures

Tho NOT to hijack the thread, but I agree that LEDs can solve a lot of the heating issues the incandescent bulbs have. However, LEDs operate on very LOW current draw which often causes problems where that load is also part of relay circuits (especially). But, for many courtesy applications, LEDs are a terrific upgrade for the stock incandescent bulbs.
Hey guys thanks for the responses, seems to be a misunderstanding. The RH CSTY fuse keeps blowing due to a short in the connection somewhere . I think it's the wire going to the dome light relay cause the fuse blows and the light stay on all the time draining the battery . Thanks again for all the help
