AC compressor won’t engage
Hello, I have a 88 vette with c68 option, just installed a new ac compressor, have the constant 12v at the compressor system won’t engage from inside the cabin. When I manually ground the compressor it works and cools properly (pressures look good). I was talking with batee corvette and apparently you can no longer get the blower motor resistor that triggers your ground for the ac, I have a new standard brand that I had installed, so I reinstalled my original one and the ac worked, but only for a few cycles, so has anyone heard this being a problem and is there any good solutions other than a used part from a yard?

Pressure is good system full, have 6 volts coming from the head unit in the car, both high and low pressure sensors have continuity and 5-6volts running through them, the blower motor resistor isn’t switching the ground for the compressor, has anyone heard that you can no longer get this part? It was explained to me that the 90 and up system the resistor looks the same but the 90 engages the compressor a different way than the 86-89
