‘95 6-speed one owner car approx 47,000 miles. Black on black coupe. I have not seen it in person yet, car is a couple hours away and seller is proving to be difficult to deal with.
The Bad: From the pictures I have the interior looks bad, needs seat covers and likely a lot of plastic parts. The paint looks average to poor. Definitely needs tires and has not seen the road in 2 or 3 years. Owner claims it was running back in November but now the car won’t start. He says he thinks it is out of gas, ( I already asked him to try putting fresh fuel in but...see previous statement about owner)
The Good: It’s a ‘95, low miles and a manual.
Thoughts and input are appreciated. Asking price is $9100.00 CAD or $6800.00 USD. I know the obvious is to go see it but even that is a challenge. Dude has posted it for sale but never seems available to show the car! It’s is in a storage facility away from his residence.
Are you kidding that is a king sized ripoff price!! Forget about the odometer pretend it has 147k. .sure looks that way
Thats a money pit man keep looking. Cars like that are 2k or less in Ca. Parts car really?
There are plenty of LTx cars in the FS section here in that range & are clean solid runners. If you list your wants perhaps someone may pop up with what you want.

Thanks for the response, 6-speed cars up here in the great white north are few and far between. I’m not putting much weight on the mileage since most cars up here are roughly the same. Since we have one tenth of the population of our southern neighbors we have less than 1/10 of the cars to choose from, so the prices reflect that. However I do agree for the mileage this one is on the rough side. I guess I’m struggling with whether the juice is with the squeeze. Or if I should wait for a better one. I regret selling my ‘96 LT4. Lol
Man just wait you dont know what else is wrong with it. Youve had a c4 so you know how deep this pit could possibly get
Is it a hassle bringing one over the border?
It’s here in Canada. Only a couple hours away. I’m likely going to keep looking, I haven’t talked to the seller for about 5 days now. I know I can fix it up and make a nice driver out of it but don’t want to get too far upside down.
If the seller is putting this much effort in to selling the car how much effort did he put in to taking care of it? He's looking for someone who wants a Corvette and will simply hand him his asking price and go away.
A little perspective. There's a virus that spread around the world that's on the news all the time. The people who are working are often working a LOT and weird hours. He may have other things going on in his life, moving, sick relatives, etc. Just because selling his corvette for less than he probably wants to isn't his top priority doesn't mean he's hiding stuff.
As with any car, it could have more issues. It might not though. Maybe the seats are the only damage, and they got damage by him being big old and fat and using that part to try to get out. These cars aren't that easy to fake the mileage on, it's not gonna just roll over after 100k and look low mile again.
If you like the car, cut the guy some slack and see it when you can
I agree.
Recently picked up a sweet '89 6-speed with 52k on the odo and only slight wear of the LH bolster which was an easy fix. Otherwise, interior was very clean.
Original asking was $12k, after >6mo of "watching" it got it for $9k in late winter of '19.
Uh, what? They make the same low end power. The LT4 has more top end power, with more revs and breathes a bit better up top...
Yes the LT4 does make better low power as it has a higher RPM band....Having owned both The LT4 will smoke the LT1 from a stop on.... In fact an LT4 will stay with a stock LT5 up to 3rd gear... In the real world.
I'm not going to get in a debate with you on someones post but yes I have been down the road many times with all 3 side by side... In the real world not on paper...
I enjoyed my LT4 immensely, it was a very fun car. I’ve driven many LT1’s and agree they are fun as well. I do currently own a 2019 Z51 And my wife has. 2020 Camaro ZL1 so power isn’t my motive for having another C4.

Real world is driver dependent. Dynos don't lie and prove the LT4 and lt1 have practically the same low end. It's not until at least 3500rpm you see a difference between the two.

Sorry I guess I'm just stupid but both statement say the same thing .... All 3 cars were stock and belonged to me, all 3 drivers drove each car end results were always the same.
Edit: No disrespect intended just qualifying my statement.
