Default Its melting, literally!

Walked out to the garage right away the DS half of the front bumper caught my eye. Has to be raised up over the hood by 1/8" or more...yes it was perfect prior, just detailed it.

Its 112 out god knows how hot in the garage so its warping.
Figured Id put a pad down and some weight on it overnight, let the AC run in there cool it off maybe Id get lucky.

What happened is the paint spiderwebbed in that area. Battin 1000! lol

Anyone know the paint code for 88 bright red? Been wanting to repaint the bumper anyway. This car is not taking to me as the new guy

Any fix other than replacement?

Paint codes are located on the RPO list under the console lid.

Damn, that sucks; good luck with a reasonable solution.

Spiderwebbed paint would seem to indicate compression damage (hitting something). Its strange that it would warp in the garage, when temperatures in the direct sunlight are probably 30-50 deg higher. The only way to re-align the bumper cover is to loosen the mounting bolts.

The drivers side is still flush and lined up perfectly its the other half that raised up. Never seen anything like it?

Someone in the past tried painting the front bumper and Im guessing didnt use a flex agent shouldnt have done that.
Nothing that cant be fixed I guess. Jim Ill look under the console...so where it says bright red the # next to it is what Id use to get some paint mixed up?

Fred where would these mounting bolts be, afraid to ask lol.

Open the hood and look between the gap you will see a line of small bolts and an aluminum strip (black) you can loosen them and try to push the edge back down or pull it up. I'll get a pic in a few. to see if this is the area you are referring to. Be very careful and tape up the hood and bumper as not much room to work. I think they are 10mm.
