Getting ready to stretch the ‘89’s legs on a long labor day weekend with my son to visit some family down south. I’m hoping to get some feedback from anyone who has used the 12V plug in bluetooth adapters as I want to be able to plug/charge our phones for tunes and GPS, etc. I’ve seen a bunch on Amazon but my 1989 has a very shallow 12V plug and it doesn’t look like it would accommodate most units. Feedback from anyone who has used them? My stereo is already kind of on the fritz so I’m not looking for sound quality as much as I am the ability to charge the phones and hear music through what’s left of the speakers.
My 91 has Bose Gold system with CD and cassette. I bought on of those cassette adapters that i can use to plug my phone in to play over car system. It's pretty good and that still leaves the lighter plug for charging phone.

Ebay.... the cheap $10-$12 dollar round ones.... I have 4 of them for different vehicles... they last about 6 months.... they are a pain to get to work in the lighter in a vette, its for a lighter not a charger. What I did was buy a 12volt power port from Oriellys, wired it directly to the battery and zip tied it to the crossbrace above the battery. Keeps everything under the hood not in the cockpit and I can keep my ashtray/cup holder lid closed. I leave it plugged in and under the hood all the time, never take it out. Then you can buy a short stubby 12V charger for the cig lighter and only plug it in when you need it....
