1985 Lingenfelter help
Has anyone owned or have technical knowledge with a 1985 Lingenfelter. I have several questions about the ecm used( accel 74002-c ),the ecm will not turn the ses light on ( light works). it also has this breadboard in series with the ecm. fans run all the time key is on.
is this normal for this car? thanks

Wow interweb search returns zilch! If we know that the cooling fan system hasn't been altered to run at all times, fan running all the time is an indication of "limp home mode" in which it may be as simple as re-seating all the connections at the ECM and PROM/chip. Got any more history of the car that you can share?

No, Its not the factory ECM, I opened it up there is no prom like the original. lthis is not a rebuilt ecm, this is a fuel management computer. it might need its own flash tool. when i remove the bread board and ecm one of the fans stops, one still runs. might be that relay is stuck. Im trying to figure out if Lingenfelter did this Mod or someone else. My next step is to call them and hope I can get an answer. Is anyone familiar with this accel F/M computer 74002-c ? thanks

Sounds like an older version/precursor of Accel DFI. Its likely that LPE did it or the install, but better off going to Accel directly.
