It took a little fabrication and a little swearing but it was not that bad. I took pieces off the stock shifter base then placed them on the B&M shifter base with the original holes lining up with the holes in the floor, then I tack welded them and took the assembly out and final welded it. I did not want to cut on the console cover so I put the shifter in the same place as the stock one. This kept the gear indicator on the B&M from fitting to the left of the stick where it belongs. I had it all together with the indicator on the right side of the shifter and that was not going to work. I then bought a Dakota Digital indicator, it is the small square thing on the left side of the console. It has been working great ever since I put it in but the 5 foot cable that it comes with is just way too long. One of my winter projects is to put a 3 ft. cable on it. The shifter is the B&M megashifter and it is the Camaro/Firebird console mount version.
