The SES light came on last week. Pulled the code yesterday, code 44, O2 sensor or lean condition. My neighbor (GM mechanic) warned me about installing a Bosch
O2 sensor nine years ago. I didn't listen. I installed an AC-Delco sensor today. Problem fixed. Since I was under the car I decided to change the oil and filter too.

What is so special about the Delco vs Bosch? When did this issue occur? You had it for 9 years in the car before it had a problem? IF so, I dump mine every 5 years or 50K since I don't believe they last much longer than that. They might last as long as 10 years but from what I heard, the accuracy might suffer when the sensor gets old and slow.
