1987 Corvette coupe auto. 62000 miles. I took my drivers side door panel off to do some repairs to cracks and to reinforce my inside swipe molding. I upgraded my wiper switch light to LED and when tested did not work. I reversed polarity and no light. I put the old bulb back in and no light. I tried it with the single light wire, as well as connected the wiper panel harness. No light. Both lights worked with direct power from the battery. I will check my socket and connections but have a question. I have also disconnected my wiper motor because I'm replacing it. Could this interruption have anything to do with the no light situation? I want to be sure it works before putting the door panel back on as I don't want to take it off again. Any help would be appreciated.
Is the dimmer turned down? Stupid question, I know, but I didn’t see any mention of trying that in your post.
Thanks for the reply...Yes I checked the dimmer switch up and down no light. I will clean the contacts gently and make sure that the socket makes a good connection. Worked fine as I remember before thats why I questioned maybe the circuit not being connected.
