The carpet kit for my '87 convertible came with the below pieces that were not in my car when I got it. Does anyone know where they go or have a picture perhaps?
I have a GM parts and illustration catalog and I do not see a part in the carpet illustrations that looks like those pieces. However they look like they might fit around the mounting plates that attach the hardtop when it is use on the car. The edging that shows on your pieces would be exposed especially since the pieces are obviously for a specific side of the car. The fact that they appear to not be exactly identical does seem odd, however the fact that they have that slot in the opening could be so they would slip over the hardtop mounting brackets.

Thanks, didn't think of that. I don't have a hardtop, so that would make sense.
